A common statement to get Diasporic Africans to not look to Kemet is, “Your ancestors are from West Africa. Not Egypt. If Egypt was related to West Africa, they would have pyramids there too.” There are pyramids (Mer-Khuti) all throughout Africa. The common culture the rest of Africa shared with Kemet is extensive, though hidden from mainstream education.
