But I was never good enough.

I held you down, when you were

In lockdown… But still I was

Never good enough.

My heart, mind, body & soul was

Yours for the take, but all you wanted

To do was lie, cheat & steal, damn,

I guess I was mistaken, for loving you

When no one else would.

Crying countless days & nights over

Someone who never loved himself.

If I could turn back the hands of time,

I would run, Just run & never turn back…

Because I was never good enough,

To be your wife, just someone to sleep with

In the middle of the night.

You assassinated all my hopes & dreams,

I guess things aren’t always what it seems.
